The Ultimate United States Grand Prix Experience
Without a doubt, Formula 1™ racing is the world’s most exciting, glamorous, and prestigious motor racing series and it is also the most popular annual sporting series worldwide!
The Austin race is the second-to-last race of the season and could decide the hotly-contested drivers’ championship, adding to the drama of this amazing spectacle. Set to the stunning background of the vista of the Texas countryside and the city of Austin, twenty-four cars will line the grid, engines screaming in anticipation, to try and master one of F1′s newest and most well-received circuits. Built specifically for Formula 1 racing this 5.5 km circuit has 20 turns and 133 feet of elevation change. It has also been heralded a “spectacular” circuit by F1 drivers and race fans alike. You will want to make sure you experience this high-speed thrill ride of a race for yourself, to see what all the excitement is about.
Austin has long been known as one of the “it” towns in America. Cool and happening, it still embraces its warm Lone Star state hospitality, where it’s not unusual for perfect strangers to strike up a conversation. The city extends a southern welcome to all visitors, inviting them to experience its cool live music bars and sophisticated restaurants.
Below you will find a suggested sample itinerary, please remember we will work with you to completely customize your preferred experience based on your tastes, desires and budget.
Day One – Thursday, November 14, 2013
Upon arrival at Austin-Bergstrom International airport you will be greeted outside baggage claim and taken by private sedan to the luxurious and exclusive Four Seasons Austin, your home for the next four days. We hope you like the color red, as the Four Seasons is the usual home to Team Ferrari; you will be rubbing shoulders with the privileged few who are associated with this storied race team.
You might want a short rest before heading out on the town to experience the amazing nightlife that has made this town famous. We would direct you to Congress Street, the heart of Austin’s happening scene, though you are on your own deciding between wonderful wood-fired steaks at the Roaring Fork or authentic Mexican at one of downtown’s most recognized eateries, Manuels. With the night still young you will now have a chance to experience the live music that put this town on the map. From the grandaddy of live Austin venues, the Continental Club, to some of the hottest blues at Antone’s, you will have kicked off your Grand Prix experience with a quintessential Austin night.
Day Two – Friday, November 15, 2013
After a late night, today is a great day to refuel, pun intended, before the speed and thrills of Formula 1 racing picks up the pace again. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some people watching at the Four Seasons as the who’s who of racing, as well as the guests of Team Ferrari start to roll in, their luggage and blazers replete with the color red and the golden prancing horse. After breakfast, make your way to the spa at the Four Seasons for some dedicated relaxation in any of their 8 treatment areas.
Tonight the downtown will really be rocking as the global sport takes over the town. You will be one of a lucky few that has an invitation to the hottest party in town at the Amber Lounge. Host to easily the most famous and celebrity-attended parties on the F1 circuit, the Amber Lounge Austin serves up a stylish, star-studded weekend of superlative decadence and it’s guaranteed to leave the A-list audience gushing.
Day Three – Saturday, November 16, 2013
After breakfast you will be transferred by private sedan to the modern Circuit of the Americas to see who brought their A-game during today’s qualifying session. You will be privy to high-speed action from your choice of premium hospitality venues. Enjoy the finest food and wine, driver appearances, and the most premium of viewing at one of COTA’s highest end viewing options.
Your private sedan will take you back to the quiet retreat of the Four Seasons for a bit of respite before you head into downtown Austin’s happening scene. Maybe a quiet and classy dinner at the Driskell Grill is just what the doctor ordered before you once again engage in the vibrant and active music scene of downtown. We suggest some jazz at the wonderful Elephant Room but don’t just take our word for it, jazz great Wynton Marsalis has called this one of the top ten jazz venues in all of America.
Day Four – Sunday, November 17, 2013
Enjoy your breakfast before again making your way by private sedan to the circuit for today’s thrilling F1 race. Grab a glass of champagne and see what the featured Formula One pilot has to say about today’s race. You will also enjoy a pit tour, something reserved for only a select few, but available to you as a guest of your chosen exclusive hospitality venue. After a sumptuous lunch you have come to the moment that all this has been building towards, the United States Grand Prix is about to begin. Travelling in excess of 340 kilometers an hour, these incredible cars and drivers will be pushing the limits to try and be the first to negotiate the 56 laps that make up the US Grand Prix. Will this race decide who is crowned World Champion, or will it set the stage of high drama with only one more race left in the F1 season? One can only speculate on the many scenarios that will be decided in Austin as these global race teams jockey for supremacy as the Formula One season unfolds around the world.
Day Five – Monday, November 18, 2013
Enjoy one last taste of Austin at breakfast before your private car takes you to the airport for your journey home.
