The Galt House is a name long associated with gracious hospitality and Southern style. In the early 1800s, the original Galt House was a residence owned by Dr. W.C. Galt. In 1835, a 60 room hotel was opened as the Galt House. By the end of World War I, the Galt House was considered past its heyday and was torn down. The new Galt House Rivue Tower opened in 1973, the Suite Tower in 1985. The only hotel on the Ohio River in Louisville, The Galt House features newly updated rooms and a 10,000-square-foot conservatory three stories in height, enclosed by steel and glass connecting the two towers. Your Seating at the 2010 Kentucky Derby
Your package includes preferred seating to the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. Tickets to the Kentucky Oaks on Friday are optional. Grandstand seating provides you with a view of the action as the horses round the final turn, speed past your position and cross the Finish Line. With Clubhouse seating you'll be closer to the Finish line and be able to enjoy a slightly more prestigious atmosphere. From Millionaire's Row you'll be rubbing elbows with the who's who and enjoy the race from a luxurious, climate controlled environment. Higher seats are generally regarded as superior as they provide a better perspective of the race and allow you to see the action on the back stretch of the race course.
