How do I find out which players are scheduled to play on specific days?
The match schedule is updated daily during the tournament—typically in the evening—on both the official Australian Open website and app. We recommend using one of these two resources for the most up-to-date schedule information.
What happens if it rains at the Australian Open?
The three show courts have retractable roofs, which allow play to continue. That said, closing and reopening the roof may cause short delays. On other courts, rain may result in pausing or rescheduling the match.
Are matches usually on time at the Australian Open?
Start times are approximate, as the duration of preceding matches on the same court can vary significantly. Weather delays and medical timeouts can also affect the match length, which may delay subsequent start times. Most of the matches at the Australian Open are listed as “not before” a certain time, meaning the match won’t start earlier than that time, though they may start later due to the factors mentioned above.
Other notes about the Australian Open Schedule
- The first matches of the day will be the most reliable in terms of scheduling, those later in the day have an increased chance of starting late.
- The Australian Open schedule is subject to change without notice. Even court assignments may change right up until the start of the match. The official Australian Open app will have the most current schedule information.
- Summer in Melbourne can be quite hot. Matches may be delayed or moved to an earlier start time to avoid the hottest part of the day. In addition, extra or extended breaks may be added to give players some relief from the heat.

“Great!”
The experience was great!
“We had a fantastic time”
A HUGE ‘thank you’ to you and the Roadtrips team. We had a fantastic time on the grounds at Melbourne Park and the tickets that were secured for us were spot on with fantastic placement!!! The Park Hyatt hotel was phenomenal. Overall, a very worthwhile trip for us and we will definitely be doing it again!!! Going outside the US to another country/continent is stressful and you helped alleviate some of that stress.
“Really LOVED it.”
The experience was amazing – the seats we had were unbelievable. The suite that was available was so helpful and added a lot to our experience. The players tour was beyond special. Seeing them warming up and the stretch room … really LOVED it.
“Customer service was exemplary”
My trip was well organized and was customized to meet my expressed needs. The customer service was exemplary. I would strongly recommend Roadtrips! I enjoyed my vacation immensely. It was my dream trip! Thank you.
