Every four years, the world unites for one of the biggest sporting events in the world. While most will enjoy the Summer Games from their screens, those in attendance in L.A. will experience something extraordinary. Los Angeles is sure to make a wonderful host city and will also have the honor of introducing 5 new sports to the Summer Games: flag football and squash, along with the return of baseball/softball, lacrosse, and cricket.

LA Metro’s long range transportation plan includes the Twenty-Eight by ’28 initiative, a $42.9 billion plan outlining 28 transportation improvements with a goal of completion by 2028. This includes dedicated lanes to venues for Summer Games vehicles, including spectator buses. In addition, it was announced in April 2024 that the city of L.A. secured nearly $900 million in federal funding towards transportation and infrastructure projects in advance of the 2028 Summer Games. To further eliminate traffic congestion, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass is pushing for a “no-car Games,” promoting public transportation to Summer Games venues and encouraging remote work for L.A. locals during the Summer Games period.

Tickets to the 2028 Summer Olympics are limited to the Authorized Ticket Reseller in your country of residence.
