The Opportunity

The successful applicant will work directly with the Event Planning Team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our team will handle the overall operations, logistics and fulfillment for our clients travelling to Qatar for the 2022 World Cup. This would be a 4 month full time contract, term position from mid August 2022 through mid December 2022. Expect that the role will transition to a Qatar-based position in November for the duration of the World Cup event, for approximately one month.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with Roadtrips event logistics
• Liaison with Qatar-based suppliers
• Handling hotel reservations, inventory and rooming lists
• Transportation logistics
• Gifting arrangements and fulfillment
• Assisting with tour operations and ticketing
• Assisting with concierge services such as restaurant reservations and special requests
• Database management
• Assisting with guest itinerary creation and fact checking
• Hospitality arrangements
• Administration and operational tasks as required
• Assisting with customer service and assembling and distribution of client travel documents
• Working onsite with Event Team, guests and Roadtrips hosting staff

• Previous experience in event planning, administration and/or customer service

• Positive work ethic and team working/collaborative skills
• Previous experience working with a Mac computer an asset

Roadtrips’ standard Winnipeg office hours are 8:30am-5pm CST. Overtime may be necessary during the busy period in the lead up to the event. Working hours in Qatar throughout the event are as required.

Compensation will be $3,500 to $4,500 per month (based on experience) plus a bonus of $3,000 to $4,000 upon completion of the contract and success of the project. Travel expenses (including airfare) and housing in Qatar will be provided.
