The Ultimate Monaco Grand Prix Experience

Monaco is one of those destinations that should be on everyone’s bucket list. Everything about the place is spectacular: the scenery, the people, the food…we could go on and on. It’s a fabulous vacation spot in its own right, but throw in one of the biggest races on the Formula One calendar and you’ve got yourself one extraordinary combination.

Below you will find a suggested sample itinerary, please remember that we will completely customize your itinerary based on your tastes, desires and budget.

Day by Day

Day 1 – Thursday
Upon arrival at Nice International Airport you will greeted outside of baggage claim and walked over to the adjacent Heliport. From there you will embark on a scenic flight by helicopter along the stunning Cote d’Azur to Monte Carlo and transferred to the luxurious Hotel Hermitage, your home for this event. Upon arrival you will be met at the hotel and assisted with your check in by your on-site host for the experience. After a short review of the upcoming events you are free to start exploring this fabled city.

Tonight you will enjoy one of Monaco’s top culinary names at Louis XV. This 3-Michelin-starred restaurant opened 35 years ago, and has consistently been delivering exquisite cuisine ever since. Located in the Hotel de Paris, the elegant dining room is reminiscent of Versailles Grand Siècle and provides a spectacular backdrop for an even more spectacular meal. The menu is Mediterranean inspired and the wine cellar is more than impressive, boasting 400,000 bottles of wine.

Day 2 – Friday
Breakfast at your leisure. After breakfast, your guide will meet you in the lobby for your private tour of the historic and picturesque Principality of Monaco. You will visit the Palace, home to the Prince of Monaco. The Palace began as a Genoese fortress in the 12th century, though it’s Prince Rainier III who is credited with restoring the Palace to the magnificent structure it is today. You’ll have a chance to explore this gorgeous palace and admire all its intricacies including its Italian-style gallery, its 15th century frescoes and the spectacular Throne Room, decorated with an impressive Renaissance fireplace. Lunch today will be enjoyed from the breathtaking vantage point of the Chevre d’Or in Eze Village. The terrace restaurant’s fresh cuisine is matched only by the panoramic views of the Mediterranean looking toward St Jean Cap Ferrat. Take a stroll through the cobblestone streets of this medieval town before rejoining your guide for a few more Monte Carlo highlights.

Tonight you will join the who’s who of fashion, sport, and celebrity at the most sought after event of the Grand Prix weekend, the fashion show and seaside dinner of the Amber Lounge. The event won’t start until the Prince and his entourage arrive, but it is well worth the wait at this star-studded event.

Day 3 – Saturday
After a leisurely morning and breakfast you will be transferred to your choice of premium hospitality venues for an exclusive experience of this global sport. As a guest of one of the teams, you will enjoy the best views of the action on the circuit, daily team gifting, pilot (driver) appearances, a visit to the team garage, and the finest food and wine throughout the weekend. Today’s thrilling qualifying session will test the car and driver to the full extent as they push to win the coveted pole position for tomorrow’s big race.

Dinner tonight will be a gastronomic delight at Yoshi in the Hotel Metropole. Chef Takeo Yamazaki creates elegant Japanese masterpieces at this wonderful Michelin-starred eatery.

Day 4 – Sunday
Today is the day you’ve been waiting for! Enjoy another delicious breakfast at your leisure. Following breakfast, you will be transferred back to your choice of premium hospitality venues to experience this famed race in the height of exclusivity. You will again enjoy team gifting, great foods and wine, and the unbelievable access that is only available to the privileged few who receive an invitation to be a part of a team’s hospitality. You will watch in awe as the unbelievable sights and sounds of this ultimate speed sport unfold right in front of your eyes. Bear witness as drivers, cars, and teams battle to win this iconic race. Following the race you will be transferred back to the Hermitage where you can relax after one of the most thrilling days you will ever experience.

Day 5 – Monday
Sleep in a little before enjoying one more wonderful Hermitage breakfast. After breakfast, meet your driver in the lobby for a short transfer to the idyllic Le Mas de Pierre. This wonderful Relais and Chateaux hotel is the perfect experience after the excitement of the Monaco Grand Prix. Located on the hillside just below the fortified town of Saint Paul de Vence, this small upscale property is surrounded by gardens and olive trees, providing a relaxing and luxurious retreat. This charming hotel is decorated classically in beautiful soft Southern colors and provides guests with plenty of ways to de-stress, from massages and spa treatments to just curling up by the pool with your favorite book. The restaurant, Le Table de Pierre, is a fine one, serving upscale local cuisine as expected. Today you may want to explore the galleries and shops of the beautiful St Paul de Vence, or just become one with nature and enjoy the lavender scented breezes of this stunning country setting.

Day 6 – Tuesday
After a relaxed breakfast your guide and driver will meet you for a wonderful tour of the Old Town of Nice. Wander the famed Flower Market, pick up some souvenirs for friends and family back home, or enjoy a little of the French Riviera’s “joie de vivre” with an espresso on the Promenade des Anglais. No day trip to this city would be complete without a wonderful lunch of Niçois food at the boisterous and charming Acchiardo. We recommend the the fish soup, it’s nothing short of amazing. If it suits your fancy, a short stop at the Matisse Museum on the way back to Le Mas Pierre will complete a day well spent.

Tonight enjoy thoughtfully prepared dishes at the Le Table des Pierre, or if you’re feeling a little more energetic, head into St Paul de Vence for the delightful creations at Le Saint Paul. The beautiful rooms with vaulted stone and decorated frescoes make an unforgettable setting for a romantic and memorable dinner.

Day 7 – Wednesday
After one more perfect French pastry, dark espresso, and a perfectly crafted herb and cheese omelette it is time to bid farewell to the south of France. Your driver will meet you for your transfer to the Nice airport for your journey home or wherever your travels take you. Bon Voyage!
