Eight Days/Seven Nights

Experience the world famous Iguazu Falls while immersing yourself in World Cup excitement in Porto Alegre and glamourous Rio De Janeiro. All Roadtrips itineraries are customized to fit you while featuring top level services. Allow us to build you the perfect World Cup experience!

Day One
Arrive in Porto Alegre and be met at the airport by your local host before being transferred to your chosen hotel. The city has a rich European and German heritage and features historic architecture, delicious Bavarian-style bakeries and nearby alpine villages.

Day Two/Three
Awake to a delicious full breakfast and review your plans for enjoying the World Cup excitement in Porto Alegre. Make use of your personal concierge and local hosts to explore Porto Alegre. Possible options include excursions to nearby wine country and out to the mountains and waterfalls of Gramado and Canela. Then you'll be experiencing the game at the beautiful Estadio Beira-Rio (Riverbank Stadium). Match transfers to your selected game are included in your package.

Day Four
Your private chartered car service will take you to the airport. Upon arrival in Iguazu, you'll be met by your local host at the airport and taken to your hotel by private car. Soak in the awe-inspiring panoramic view from the observation decks on the Brazilian side of the famous Iguazu Falls.

Day Five
After breakfast, take a jeep and boat tour into the rain forested canyons to experience the falls up close. Spot local flora and fauna on the way to the boat launch, where you'll head up river, shooting several sets of rapids before arriving at the foot of the Iguazu Falls. Day One
Upon arrival in Manaus you will be met at the airport by your local host before being transferred to the heart of the jungle at the beautiful Anavilhanas Lodge, described as one of the most authentic and unique hotels in Brazil by National Geographic Traveler. Belo Horizonte, which is Portuguese for “beautiful horizon” is the sixth-most populous city in Brazil with just over 2.4 million residents. The city was carefully planned with beautiful green areas to compliment the spectacular parks that surround it.

Estadio Mineirao is one of the most historic venues in Brazilian football and is the home to Atletico Mineiro and Cruzeiro. The stadium will be renovated prior to the start of the World Cup and has a capacity of 66,805.

Stadium: Estadio Nacional De Brasilia

Brasilia was officially founded in 1960 as the new capital city of Brazil and is the only city in the world to be declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO despite being constructed in the 20th century. The city features unique architecture as well as the majority of Brazil’s federal administration offices, which were moved to Brasilia as part of its status as the capital city.

The Estadio Nacional De Brasilia, which will be built on the site of the city’s previous stadium will have a capacity of 70,042. The stadium is due for completion at the end of 2012 and will feature unique architecture to compliment the established design that Brasilia is famous for.

Cuiaba is the geographic centre of South America and is home to over half a million residents. Cuiaba also features three of Brazil’s most important ecosystems including the savannahs of Cerrado, the wetlands of the Pantanal and the Amazon.

The Arena Pantanal will be a completely new build focusing on sustainability and environmentally friendly practices given its close proximity to so much natural beauty. This stadium will have a capacity of 42,968 and has already obtained the nickname “O Verãdo” or “The Big Green”.

The city of Curitiba features a culturally diverse population of 1.8 million and hosts a number of beautiful natural areas such as the Tingui Park. The city also draws attention to its rich culture and love of the arts with its impressive architecture.

The Arena da Baixada is considered to be one of Brazil’s most modern and well-appointed stadiums and is home to the Atletico Paranaense. However, not to be surpassed by the other stadiums in Brazil receiving makeovers for the upcoming World Cup, the Arena will be undergoing renovations set to be completed at the end of 2012 and will have a capacity of 40,000.

Fortaleza is a main tourist destiation located in the north-east of Brazil, and boasts wonderful beaches that have gained popularity for different reasons, from traditional fairs and restaurants to exciting bars and nightlife. Beyond the beaches, Fortaleza, which is Portuguese for “fortress” is also the site of Schoonenborch Fort, which illustrates how the city was affected while under Dutch control.

Estadio Castelao is home to Fortaleza’s two most popular football clubs, Ceara and Fortaleza, and will be completely renovated prior to the World Cup. The renovations will not only expand the stadiums capacity to 64,165, but will also feature a new roof to cover its tiers.

Manaus is located at the meeting of the dark-coloured waters of the Negro (Black) River and the muddy waters of the Solimões (Amazon) River, which is an incredible sight to behold. The city has a population exceeding two million residents and along with its unique natural beauty has maintained its vibrant local traditions alongside its continued modernization.

The Arena Amazonia, which will be newly built for the World Cup features a dramatic metal shell designed to look like the straw baskets the region is famous for producing. Given the city’s position in the heart of the Amazonian Rainforest, the 42,377-seat stadium will be sustainably built to ensure a positive legacy for the future.

This city was founded in the 16th Century on December 25th, and is why Natal, which is Portuguese for “Christmas” received its name. Today, Natal is a preferred destination for foreigners visiting Brazil because of its spectacular beaches as well as its average of 300 days of sun during the year.

The new Estadio das Dunas is being built especially for the World Cup and will sit upon site of the city’s former football stadium. The new stadium received its name and the incredible and unique façade from the sand dunes that the region is famous for.

Porto Alegre is recognized as one of Brazil’s greenest cities as its population of 1.4 million is almost matched by its number of trees and green spaces. Porto Alegre is one of the few major cities in Brazil that has cold winters, which at times can include snow and subzero temperatures.

The Estadio Beira-Rio was originally opened in 1969 and took almost ten years to build with fans helping complete the stadium by donating bricks, cement and iron to the project. This much-loved stadium will be renovated in preparation for the World Cup and will feature a capacity of 50,287.

Recife, which is Portuguese for “reef” originally existed as the port that connected a village called Olinda to the Atlantic. Today, Recife not only features one of the most famous urban beaches in the region, Boa Viagem, but because of its Dutch roots, also has plentiful historical sights including the Orange Fort and the City of Olinda, which was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in the 1980s.

The Arena Pernambuco will be newly built for the World Cup. Given the city already hosts three historic Brazilian Football Clubs, its passion for the Game cannot be denied. The Arena will seat 43,921 spectators and is expected to act as an economic catalyst in the area of Grande Recife where the stadium will be built.

Salvador was the first urban area to be settled when the Portuguese crown decided to colonize Brazil. The Arena Fonte Nova will be a newly built stadium on the site of the city’s previous football stadium, and has been designed especially for the World Cup. The stadium will feature a lightweight metal roof and seating for 56,000.
