Every two years the best golfers from the United States and Europe team up to battle each other for the honor of winning the Ryder Cup. With Gleneagles as host for the 2014 Ryder Cup, this magnificent PGA Centenary Course will be sure to put on a spectacular tournament.
Widely regarded as one of the best courses in the world, the PGA Centenary Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus, who described the course as “The finest parcel of land in the world I have ever been given to work with.” The course is well known for its challenging 7,262 yards, all set in the lush Scottish countryside. Having recently undergone an extensive refurbishment it is better than ever, and is sure to provide a breathtaking backdrop for the thrilling 2014 Ryder Cup.
As the birthplace of golf and home to some of the sport’s most extraordinary courses, Scotland is unquestionably the perfect place to witness a golf event of this magnitude.

Day 1 – Wednesday, September 24, 2014
Upon arrival at Edinburgh Airport you will be greeted outside baggage claim and taken by private vehicle to the Sheraton Grand Edinburgh Hotel, your home for the next five nights. Located just steps from the magnificent Edinburgh Castle, in the heart of one of Europe’s most stunning cities, the Sheraton Grand is a fantastic location for your Ryder Cup experience.
After checking-in to your room, you might want to rest after your day of travel before this evening’s Ryder Cup Welcome Reception located in your hotel. You will kick-off your trip with a Ryder Cup celebration. Enjoy top-notch cocktails and hors d’oeuvres alongside fellow Ryder Cup fans and officials in anticipation for the beginning of your tournament experience tomorrow.
Day 2 – Thursday, September 25, 2014
After enjoying your hearty full Scottish breakfast, you will be met by your chauffeur for transportation to Gleneagles Golf Course. Upon arrival at the course, you can choose to head straight to the course for the start of today’s practice and the tournament’s opening ceremonies, or use your hospitality pass to take advantage of the Travel Pavilion. This onsite climate-controlled hospitality facility offers upscale food and beverage for purchase, along with big-screen televisions to follow all of the action. After you have had your fill of today’s festivities, your chauffeur will be ready and waiting to return you to your hotel.
This evening we suggest enjoying a delicious dinner at The Kitchin. This Michelin starred restaurant presents modern British seasonal cuisine, influenced by French cooking techniques, all with an appreciation for the best quality, locally sourced ingredients available.
Day 3 – Friday, September 26, 2014
Today the real action begins! After enjoying your sumptuous breakfast once more, you will be met by your chauffeur for transportation to the course. Whether you want to follow your favorite golfer, or see as many of the team members as possible, your passes will allow you to take in as much of the golf as you choose. Also, your Travel Pavilion passes will again grant you access to some of the finest hospitality located on-site. When you’re ready your chauffeur will be ready and waiting to return you to your hotel.
For dinner this evening, we suggest The Atelier Restaurant. The chef team at The Atelier call the restaurant a workshop for the fine art of food, featuring modern European cuisine with a Scottish accent. This popular spot has earned a reputation for fine food, fine wine and a buzzing and friendly atmosphere, and serves up a menu to tempt, savor and delight.
Day 4 – Saturday, September 27, 2014
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure before your chauffeur delivers you again to Gleneagles Golf Course, and day three of the Ryder Cup tournament. You will again enjoy access to the course grounds and Travel Pavilion for the day, bringing you close to some of today’s biggest golf stars. When you’re ready your chauffeur will be ready and waiting to return you to your hotel.
This evening you may want to stroll along the famous Royal Mile towards Edinburgh Castle, taking in the historic sights of beautiful Edinburgh before stopping off for dinner. If you would like a more casual and simple meal this evening, we suggest Origano, an authentic pizzeria offering delicious freshly made pizza, pasta and antipasto. For a distinctly Scottish experience, you could head to Michael Neave Kitchen And Whiskey Bar. This restaurant features the creations of Head Chef Michael Neave who has developed a menu created around Scotland’s finest produce all complemented by a whiskey bar that highlights one of Scotland’s most famous exports, alongside a number of other interesting liquors, wines and champagnes.
Day 5 – Sunday, September 28, 2014
It is time for the last round of the Ryder Cup. From the first drive to today’s final putt, both teams will be putting out their very best in the hopes of achieving victory and bragging rights as Ryder Cup Champions for the next two years. After breakfast your chauffeur will deliver you for the final time to Gleneagles Golf Club. You will be there to witness the final play of the tournament, as well as the closing ceremonies, which will cap off the spectacular 2014 Ryder Cup.
Day 6 – Monday, September 29, 2014
Enjoy a wonderful breakfast in the beautiful surroundings of the Sheraton Grand one last time before preparing to return home. When you’re ready, your chauffeur will be ready and waiting to transfer you to the airport and your journey home.
