Your Seating at the 2012 Preakness Stakes
The Preakness Stakes has made the racetrack it takes place on famous. So much more than just a mile long dirt track, Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland has been open officially for over 130 years. In its modern form it's able to host over 120 000 guests, but in 1938 when the infamous race took place between Seabiscuit and War Admiral it was for a packed house of 43 000. Named by British settlers after a London tavern, the course came to be known affectionately as 'Old Hilltop" after the small rise in the infield that became a favorite gathering for the trainers and enthusiasts of thoroughbred racing alike.
