Indianapolis Motor Speedway, located in Speedway, Indiana (a separate town completely surrounded by Indianapolis) in the United States, is the second-oldest surviving automobile racing track in the world and the highest-capacity stadium-type facility in the world. Home to the most famous open-wheel race in the world, the Indianapolis 500, it has a seating capacity of approximately 400,000. It is the largest and highest-capacity sporting facility in history; and, built in 1909, you'll be feeling like a part of history as the races get underway.
