Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti
Recognized as Argentina’s national stadium, Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti – also known as El Monumental de Nunez or River Plate Stadium – is home to Club Atlético River Plate. With a capacity of over 65,000, this stadium has the ability to host many international tournaments, including the 1978 World Cup. Having undergone several renovations in its lifetime, it is by far the largest stadium in Argentina. Its grass surface is also used for rugby matches, however the stadium also hosts other sporting events like tennis and basketball.
