Who’s Your MLB All-Star Dream Team? Come Find Out in San Diego

Although there is still a chill in the air, we’re already getting excited about this year’s MLB All-Star Game, which will be happening in San Diego this July.

This fun event, which is also known as the Midsummer Classic, pitches players from both the National League and American League, as chosen by fans, managers, and the players themselves. The game has been taken place annually since 1933, with the only break being taken in 1945 due to travel restrictions put in place during WWII. Every year we’ve been, the MLB All-Star Game has been a lot of fun to attend, and one that we loved taking guests to.

The MLB All-Star Game is a showcase of the best players in the game and to keep it competitive, home field advantage for the World Series is on the line. In addition to bragging rights, the league winner of the All-Star Game will get the preferred home field advantage (games 1, 2, 6 and 7) in the Fall Classic.

Plus, you have added fun events like the ever-popular Home Run Derby, where four of the heaviest hitters from each league slug it out, and you get to see impressive feats of strength and skill at play.

There is of course the All Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game that comes as part of this awesome event too. We were thrilled to be seated really close to the action last year, and got real close to Snoop Dogg, who was playing in the All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game along with actors Chad Lowe, Olivia Holt, and fellow musicians Macklemore, Nick Lachey, and Justin Moore. The Legends consisted of Hall of Fame inductees like Rollie Fingers, Andre “The Hawk” Dawson, and Ozzie Smith (and several other great players). We can’t wait to see who is on the roster for 2016.

The focus of MLB All-Star week is obviously the baseball but for fans, it’s also a chance to see baseball personalities in a more relaxed setting. With all the sport’s VIPs congregated in one city, you may find yourself rubbing elbows with the best players in baseball, team executives, hall of famers, and sports media.

Petco Park is a great venue, and San Diego is a fantastic host city for the events, and anything else you might want to do in Southern California. San Diego has a great food scene, fantastic bars, and is surrounded by many naturally beautiful spots (including wonderful beaches).

Ready to make 2016 the year you get to the MLB All Star Game? We’ll get you there, with your choice of seats, put you up in the best hotels, and make sure you have an excellent time from start to finish. Our hosts take care of every detail, so all you need to deal with is having a good time.

The hotel was nice and close to the stadium as well as to fan fest. The seats at the game were great! We had a great time.
