NHL_Winter_ClassicGet ready, because the Winter Classic is back! For all those hockey fans who didn’t quite get their fill from the shortened season due to the lockout…have no fear because another season is just a couple months away.  And this time it’s going to be a full season, complete with that annual tradition known as the Winter Classic.

The Winter Classic is a regular season game that’s played outdoors to help promote the game and to tap into the past when all the games were played on outdoor rinks.  In the 2014 version of the game, two of the league’s original six teams face off against each other, as the Detroit Red Wings host the Toronto Maple Leafs at Michigan Stadium on New Year’s Day.

Could Be Record Breaking

Michigan Stadium is the highest capacity stadium in all of North America.  This means that it’s going to be loud and it’s going to be raucous.  And with Toronto just a few hours down the highway, there should be quite the mix of Wings and Leafs fans packed into those seats.  In reality, there will be fans from all across the US and Canada making their way to Michigan for the game for their chance to be a part of history.

The organizers of this season’s game are hoping to break a Guinness World Record for an NHL crowd, and with the stadium set up for hockey and every seat filled they should be able to do just that.

The Standard Package

To get right in there and be a part of the action, you’ll want to snap up some Winter Classic tickets while they’re still available.  With the Roadtrips standard package, you’ll receive your choice of preferred 2014 Winter Classic tickets.  You’ll also get three days and two nights of first class accommodation in Detroit, round trip transfers between the hotel and the stadium and expert concierge services.

Of course, you can always throw in some add-ons to make your Winter Classic experience even more memorable.  There’s the Red Wings and Leafs Alumni Showdown that will be a lot of fun, you can get tickets to extra games, stay extra nights in your hotel, opt for private transfers or upgrade your suite.  There are numerous possibilities, but the time window is shrinking.  Claim your spot for one of the biggest spectacles of the NHL season, before it’s too late.  Call or email Roadtrips today to get the process started.
