Now Available from Roadtrips: 2014 Ryder Cup Packages

PGA Centenary Course mapThe 2014 Ryder Cup golf tournament is being held at the end of September on the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles in Scotland.  Next year will mark the 40th anniversary of this incomparable golf tournament, pitting the best from Europe against the best from the United States in what is certain to be a truly unforgettable event.  This course is one of three at Gleneagles, and was designed by Jack Nicklaus, measuring 7262 yards. Gleneagles is located about one hour outside of Edinburgh.

There are 28 total points available from all the different matches that are played.  To win the cup, a team must earn 14 ½ points, but for the defending champ to retain it only 14 points are required.  It’s plain to see from the very first drive that both teams are playing for pride and they take the competition very seriously.

Common Package Inclusions

The basic 2014 Ryder Cup package includes six days and five nights in your choice of hotel.  Choices include the Dalmahoy, A Marriott Hotel & Country Club, The Radisson Blu Edinburgh and The Carlton Hotel Edinburgh.  Each one of the hotels has all of the amenities anyone would want in a hotel. You need only to sort through the fine details to determine which will provide the perfect accommodations for your trip.  You’ll also receive a four-day grounds pass for the Ryder Cup, daily transportation, Ryder Cup gift package and a full daily Scottish breakfast.

The Custom Treatment

There’s nothing quite like going on a custom sports trip with Roadtrips, and the 2014 Ryder Cup won’t be any different.  Every Ryder Cup has its share of drama, and with a custom Roadtrips package you can be right there to watch it all unfold. When you customize, you’ll have options such as staying for extra nights, upgrades on your room or suite, rounds of golf or spa treatments, private transfers from the hotel to the course and upgrading to International Pavilion tickets. The basic packages are more than special, but if you’re going anyway and you’re a true golf fan, you owe it to yourself to customize…even a little bit.

There’s still plenty of time before the 2014 Ryder Cup begins, so contact a Roadtrips representative and start crafting your trip.
