5 Upgrades to Enhance Your Daytona 500 Experience

Daytona 500There is no other place on earth where the passion and dedication felt by fans of NASCAR is more evident than at the Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, Florida.  The Daytona International Speedway holds close to 168,000 fans, and you’d be hard pressed to find an empty seat during the “Great American Race”.

When you book your trip to the Daytona 500 through Roadtrips, your experience will be unlike any other. However, if you want to make your trip even more memorable, why not try one or more of these exciting upgrades?

1.  Seat Upgrades

Even though your tickets might seem perfect, take a closer look at the stands before the big day arrives just to be sure.  It’s easy to get lost in a sea of 168,000 people, and it’s also easy to lose sight of what’s happening on the track.  If you’re a true NASCAR fan and you don’t want to miss any of the action, consider upgrading your seats as part of your trip customization.

2.  Extra Nights

One upgrade that many visitors appreciate later on is to add extra nights onto the length of the trip.  Any NASCAR race can be an overload for the senses, and when you add the crème de la crème of races to the mix, it might end up all being a blur by the time it’s over.  Think about adding a night or two to take in some more sights in the Daytona area and really appreciate what you are seeing.

3.  Private Transfers

Whether in a sedan, a limo or a luxury motor coach, private transfers to and from the track can really make you feel like you have things under control.  When there is so much to do, someone waiting to drive you around feels a lot better than you running to catch a car or bus when you aren’t quite ready to go.

4.  Pre-Race Pit Pass

A pre-race pit pass with the 31 Degrees Club or Fan Zone pre-race hospitality is an obvious upgrade that will put anyone right there in the middle of the action.  In any type of racing, ‘the pit’ is where all the important stuff happens and having access to some of that is enough to make any NASCAR fan’s heart flutter.

5.  Car Rental

If you’re interested in seeing some sights around Florida on your own time, you may want to consider renting a car.  Being shuttled around is great, but for the ultimate freedom you’ll just hop in the rental and take a drive, no matter what time of day it is.

I did the single day of the Daytona 500. It was a gift from my Company so I have no idea the cost but the trip was well organized, and gave all of us the freedom to spend the day as we wanted.
