Your Seating at Marlins Park in Miami
Located just a couple of miles from downtown Miami on the former site of the Orange Bowl, Marlins Park opened in 2012, giving the Marlins a dedicated baseball stadium. The stadium, which has a seating capacity of just over 37,000, is equipped with a retractable roof (one of only 6 in the league) to offer fans and players protection from the sun and the rain. This unique ballpark perfectly represents its home city with Miami-Deco touches, colorful tiled walkways, and ocean-inspired design. In true Miami fashion, there’s even a nightclub and a pool outside the left field wall.

MLB All-Star Sunday
Though the All-Star Game itself steals most of the spotlight, there’s a lot of excitement to be had prior to Tuesday’s main event. Sunday at Marlins Park kicks off with the All-Star Futures Game. This annual event showcases the minor league’s most promising young talent in a format that pits the USA against the rest of the world. Here you’ll get an early glimpse of some of tomorrow’s biggest stars; past participants have included David Wright, Justin Verlander, and Prince Fielder among others. The fun continues with the All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game. Started in 2001, this event brings together past All-Stars with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. The perfect blend of baseball, comedy, and competitive spirit, this game is always a crowd-pleaser.
MLB All-Star Monday
Monday brings MLB All-Star Workout Day to Marlins Park. The highlight of the day for most is the Home Run Derby, a fan-favorite and one of the weekend’s most exciting events. The top power-hitters from the American and National Leagues are selected to battle it out in an impressive test of strength. The contest is set up in a tournament-style format which ultimately determines which player can hit the most home runs, earning him the trophy as well as bragging rights.
